Positive: Great location. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Very clean and spacious. Great features around the house. Lovely treat package on arrival. Easy to check in and out and good communication. Would have been great if beach towels were supplied, but wasn't too much of an issue as we had everything else we needed.
Negative: Nothing.

Positive: Very pretty and cute period cottage. Well furnished. Good kitchen. Nice antique touches. Well equipped. Comfy beds. Good linen and towels.Though we didn't meet the hosts, they were very responsive and helpful. We had an insignificant kitchen utensil issue that they sorted efficiently. Whitianga is a busy little town, though a perfect location for exploring down to Hot Water Beach and up to Coromandel.
Negative: Construction noise. There's a house being built immediately adjacent to the cottage, plus a close-by bar was rebuilding its outside decking space. Banging and power drilling from seven in the morning until early evening. Unrelaxing!

Positive: The cottage was beautiful, a great location with a nice atmosphere. Such a lovely place to stay and very kind and helpful hosts. Cannot recommend it enough! Very nice art.
Negative: No room for improvement. Hot water runs out a bit quickly, but it's not a real problem.

Positive: Great location, well appointed, loved the styling and enjoyed the private outdoor eating area. Hosts were really responsive and helpful. The addition of wine, beer and cheese was appreciated.
Negative: As we stayed during a hot spell we found that the bedrooms were a bit hot for sleeping. Access to a fan would have been helpful.
